About the maker

Hey howdy, friend!

I'm Angelina aka Wildlfower, your maker and alchemist here. Besides fiber arts and botanical crafting, organic farming has been a long time passion of mine. In addition to raising crops and flowers, I enojoy all the work and benefits that come from it as well: preserving, canning, fermenting and cooking from scratch are all daily activities here on the homestead. I absolutely love living in the Pacific Northwest, and not the least for the perfect climate. It is my lifetime dream and goal of owning a little farm here in Washington with my precious family; and it is this goal that keeps me pushing to grow and grow.

Fiber Arts for healing

Of course, fiber arts have been a steady and important aspect of my creative expressions. Hand embroidery and cross stitch was my very first fiber art when I was just a small child. Since then, I've been on a non-stop journey of creation! I found my love of knitting just after my mother passed away some years ago. I discovered the busyness it provided my hands also provided me hard-to-find peace and comfort. A little knitting therapy is still exactly what brings me continually back to my favorite go-to knitting project: a plain vanilla sock. I delight in watching the colors develop and play while my hands do what they know to do. A near obsession with hand spun socks was the compelling force that led me to hand spinning with a drop spindle and then a wheel. I find spinning yarn to be a meditative and joyful practice. Especially when in the depths of health episodes, I find spinning is my favorite form of self care.

It's a small world, afterall

Exploring outdoors is an absolute requirement for a balanced and happy me. No matter if it's a short drive through the forest or a long journey playing hide and seek with the mushrooms, outside is my best side! I enjoy travelling in most forms, and even did a bit of "van life" before the term... and in a 88' Ford Escort. Oh, what a long strange trip it's been.

I am honored to be a working independent working artist and maker; and I couldn't be here without the support of friends like You. I hope to see you along the trail, and thank you so much for being part of the magic. I appreciate you!
